Lab Citoyen est un programme qui vise à promouvoir la langue française en tant qu’outil de débat d’idées. Organisé par l’Institut Français en collaboration avec la Maison des cultures du monde, le programme réunit à Paris une centaine d’étudiants âgés de 18 à 25 ans, sélectionnés sur concours organisés par les Services culturels des ambassades de France. Ces jeunes francophones du monde entier sont invités à échanger et débattre de la liberté d’expression, des libertés individuelles, liberté de la presse, droits des minorités.b

The 2015 Debates will include public debates at French consulates in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Houston; online speech competitions in both French and English; and an international intercollegiate debate tournament in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Institute for Public Diplomacy and Global Communication on April 18 & 19, 2015.
