Middlebury Institute Launches $10,000/yr TAPIF Scholarships

Alumni of the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) are now eligible for a guaranteed $10,000 per year scholarship if admitted to Middlebury Institute of International Studies graduate programs.

The Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey will now provide scholarships to qualified TAPIF alumni in recognition of their commitment to language and cross-cultural exchange.  TAPIF alumni admitted to MIIS will receive a $10,000 guaranteed scholarship each year for any graduate degree program.

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S. is pleased to announce this new partnership, which recognizes the value of an assistantship in France and its potential to catalyze careers for international professionals.

The Middlebury Institute of International Studies offers globally-focused graduate programs, including MA in Development Practice and Policy, MBA in Global Impact Management, MA in International Education Management, MA in International Environmental Policy, MA in Trade and Economic Diplomacy, MA in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies, MA in TESOL and Teaching Foreign Language, and MA in Translation, Interpretation, and Localization Management. 


The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) offers 7-month paid teaching assistantships to 1,200 American citizens and permanent residents each year. Assistants teach in public schools across all regions of metropolitan France and in the overseas departments of France such as French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion.

Applications for TAPIF 2017-2018 are NOW OPEN until January 15, 2017.
